Yes, after all the hard work we had put in to getting our mobile bar ready we were finally able to show the world, or at least the 5000-ish people who attended the food, drink and music festival held in Cobham in Kent, what B-Squared Beer were all about.
On the 5th May visitors came along to Munchies on the Meadow, Cobham’s annual family food festival now in its sixth year, to sample and buy from a number of local artisan producers which included a selection of delicious local craft beers which were of course from our stand.
We had beers from No Frills Joe (Greenhithe), Brew Buddies (Swanley Village), Brewery of Angels and Demons (Folkestone), Time & Tide (Deal) and Pig & Porter (Tunbridge Wells).
We attracted a large number of people who were very interested in what we had to offer and with the weather being extremely favourable we saw the majority of our stock rapidly disappear!
For a first event we were very pleased with how it went and found it very encouraging that there is definitely an audience for craft beer, it's just a case of getting people to just give them a try. You never know...
We have a few more events booked in this year and hope we can continue to spread the word about creative, local breweries whose passion is to produce extremely flavourful craft beer. I also can't forget those local distillers whose gin we will also be looking to stock at future events.
